Wild Alice is a Mid-Century Modern Mom who likes to recycle, up-cycle & re-purpose. Her children tell folks she is an Urban Archeologist or someone who likes to muck about in other peoples trash. In reality she is an administrative assistant at a large, very nice company. She works with really nice people and is very good at her job. Unfortunately it is a job & not her passion. Her passion has mostly been floating around in her head until recently when it started to leak out......so here is her story and the stories of the dolls that need to be real.

Moody Blues Swiss Army Cross Quilt In Progress
I started this quilt in August as I was recovering from an adventure in modern health care. I've been wanting to do a Swiss Army Cross quilt for ages, but what colors?? My experience with modern medicine while extremely successful left my arms & leg covered in bruises, the colors were amazing, painful but really cool!! So off I went to the fabric shop where I matched the colors on my arms to the fabrics. At the time I felt like I was turning something painful into something lovely. What can I say I was taking some serious chemicals.....I purchased a Kaffe Fassett purple and teal floral that still takes my breath away when I look at it & a fresh polka dot in turquoises. I pulled a bunch of fabric from my stash and there you have it!! I am very pleased with the way the quilt has turned out so far. I am still deciding what to do with the border. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Cameryn came up with the name - scathingly brilliant!!
