Wild Alice is a Mid-Century Modern Mom who likes to recycle, up-cycle & re-purpose. Her children tell folks she is an Urban Archeologist or someone who likes to muck about in other peoples trash. In reality she is an administrative assistant at a large, very nice company. She works with really nice people and is very good at her job. Unfortunately it is a job & not her passion. Her passion has mostly been floating around in her head until recently when it started to leak out......so here is her story and the stories of the dolls that need to be real.

Today is Christmas

Merry Christmas!!!  Our decorating this year amounted to me placing vintage Christmas balls "artfully" around the house.  We had a bit of a quandary deciding where to put the tree, you see it was either the tree or the TV & I hate to say this but the TV won.  So the tree is still in the garage, Journey is in Northern Virginia, Aidan is in Seattle Washington & Cameryn is at work.  A very quiet Christmas indeed.  I thought I would miss them terribly because it was Christmas but truth be known I miss them always. But I am so happy that they are pursuing their own dreams.  My children are so different in so many ways it is hard to believe they were raised by the same parents in the same home.  They are also alike in the most important ways - each is smart & funny & creative & kind & caring. & it amazes me every day that I could be so lucky to have such wonderous children.  Am I having a merry Christmas - why yes I am ...in my wild alice dreams...
